Welcome to the bridge page. Having idled away many hours playing and watching it I propose to idle a few more away by creating a web site dedicated to it.

XML and Bridge notation -- A proposal for a proper platform-independent notation for bridge hands. The current standard, PBN, and Richard Pavlicek's proposed revision, RBN, are both inadequate. The world runs on XML and it's long past time the bridge world did the same. Thomas Andrews has already taken a good shot at it but there's room for improvement. The basic idea is to allow conversion to HTML, or PBN, by supplying a stylesheet and schema instead of writing code.
