Wilde will now appear on a good many blogrolls, including mine (I was gonna do it anyway, I swear), thanks to this. Arthur Silber has some sensible remarks. Now if I could only persuade someone to delink me…

  1. Hi Aaron,
Well, we could stage a huge public fight — and then delink each other! Probably get tons of new readers. Whatcha say?
Aw, too much trouble. To hell with it. Anyway, you’re such a pantywaist (what’s the etymology of that, anyway?), you probably don’t have the stomach for it. 🙂
    Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Who you calling pantywaist homeslice? Step to me and I’ll give you a taste of real gay-bashing.

Etymology: A pantywaist is one of those Little Lord Fauntleroy garments in which mothers used to dress their unsuspecting boys; hence, a sissy.

    Happy Thanksgiving to you too.

  3. so are we waiting for a crasher or a crashee?

  4. Jay: crashee. The language is descriptive as well as prescriptive. Everybody says "crashee," and although "crasher" may be more technically accurate, there are more useful fights to pick.

  5. I couldn’t sleep all night over this, but I’ve decided to delink you, Aaron. It’s nothing personal, just political. Or whatever.
