How it captured sound!<br \/>\nCharmed by mere phrases, we first glean their sense<br \/>\nWhen we behold our Helen streaming tears.<br \/>\nGive me dry eyes whose gaze but looks intense!<br \/>\nThe dimpled lobes of unreceptive ears!<br \/>\nA statue not a heart! Silence so kind,<br \/>\nIt answers love with beauty cleansed of mind.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;T.
